Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) star Jen Shah devoted her time on the reality TV show to flaunting her extremely expensive lifestyle. But when she faced criminal accusations, Shah alternated that display with protesting her innocence. However, that house of cards fell apart when Jen got sentenced to 6.5 years behind bars.
And Shah used part of her time in court to claiming her regrets. However, ignoring the victims of her crimes, the Real Housewives star then celebrated her sentence with a lavish party. Find out about the details below.
Real Housewives – Jen Shah Celebrates Prison Sentence With Fabulous Party
As a result of her prison sentence, Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah faced several options. For instance, Shah could have quietly gone home with her family. And she even could have offered media interviews sharing her regrets.
But instead, the RHOSLC star seemed blissfully delusional by celebrating with a lavish party! As Page Six pointed out, Jen lived up to her “Shah-mazing” Real Housewives tagline!
However, the Real Housewives star reportedly felt compelled to celebrate because her prison sentence proved shorter than she had expected. And so even though Jen does face time behind bars for her wire fraud crimes, she feasted and served booze at an Italian hot spot in New York City. Apparently her 20 guests felt that Shah’s prison sentence deserved the celebration.
The future prisoner and her pals devoted the night to feasting and boozing on the restaurant’s second floor, according to a source. But fans and paparazzi didn’t get a chance to take pics of the party. Because Jen arranged for two people to stand throughout the party around her table in order to block anyone from snapping photos.
Real Housewives – Fans Slam Jen Shah For Prison Party Celebration
But photographers did manage to snap Jen, 49, as she tried to leave the restaurant with her security guard. And that scene took place only hours after she received her six-and-a-half years sentence for her telemarketing scheme. Set to serve her time in federal prison, Shah allegedly targeted mostly elderly victims in her setup.
And after the hearing, Jen did make time to apologize to the victims and her family. “I am profoundly and deeply sorry,” said a tearful Shah as she looked at her husband and sons. But the Real Housewives star also claimed to go “against” her values of “humility and loyalty and respect” by hurting “innocent people.” Jen will surrender for her sentence on February 17.
However, despite those comments about feeling regretful and seeking humility, that party didn’t go over well. For instance, some Twitter commentators slammed Shah as delusional for not realizing how the celebration would appear. And one tweeted, “On brand” in pointing out Jen’s decision to spend money on a lavish party. But another nailed it by tweeting, “Well it’s nice to see the money she got from the elderly went to her celebration dinner that she got a soft sentence and not the max. That money should’ve been used to pay restitution.”
