Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spoilers reveal that show star Erika Jayne and her lawyer husband Tom Girardi are being sued in a class action lawsuit. The suit alleges that Erika and Tom embezzled millions of dollars earmarked for families who lost loved ones in the 2018 Lion Air plane crash.
Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges that their divorce, which they announced in November, is a scam intended for the purpose of protecting their fortune.
The suit was filed by Edelson PC on Wednesday in Illinois. It accuses the couple of embezzling money that was meant to go to his law firm clients. It accuses the lawyer of being, “on the verge of financial collapse,” and that he used the funds to finance his lavish lifestyle.

According to the lawsuit, Erika filed for divorce from Tom following a 21-year marriage in order to protect their assets from debt collectors.
The complaint was obtained by the DailyMail.com and claims that Tom embezzled proceeds of settlements meant for Illinois-based family members of victims who died in the October 29, 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 airplane crash.
That flight went down into the Java Sea shortly after take-off, killing all 189 passengers and crew on board. It was later determined that the crash was caused by a design flaw in the Boeing 737 Max Series which ultimately led to the grounding of the model.

The complaint states, “Tom and Erika have reached celebrity status in the glitz-and-glam world of Hollywood and Beverly Hills…To keep up their celebrity status, Tom and Erika must project a public image of obscene wealth at all times, and at whatever the cost.”
The lawsuit goes on to say that Tom and his law firm Girardi Keese, “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds,” and allegedly have tens of millions of dollars of unpaid debt.
In addition, the suit states, “While Erika publicly filed for divorce this month, on information and belief, that “divorce” is simply a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom’s and Erika’s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK.”
Furthermore, the lawsuit claims that Tom’s law firm has given tens of millions in “loans”‘ to his wife Erika’s company EJ Global. “This would not be the first attempt by Tom to hide and divert assets,” the lawsuit states.
The RHOBH franchise was rocked today with the announcement that three of the cast members, Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton and Dorit Kemsley have all tested positive for coronavirus.
