Emily Simpson has spoken out about her Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) co-star Shannon Beador’s arrest for a hit-and-run as well as drinking under the influence (DUI). And that arrest coincided with her wedding anniversary to her ex hubby David Beador, according to Yahoo.
But as Shannon recovers, she has begun debating between in-patient and out-patient rehab. And rumors have soared that Beador will take a break. But her RHOC co-star, Emily, feels that Shannon not showing up simply can’t happen.
And Simpson explained, “I feel like the show is Shannon. I think Shannon needs the show.” As a result, Emily doesn’t predict that Beador will start “making an active attempt [to] step away.”

However, Shannon may not get a choice. And Bravo increasingly tends to put Real Housewives stars on pause when they seem problematic. But Emily admitted that the network could take the decision away from Beador.
And Simpson shared, “I don’t know if that’s something where Bravo’s like, ‘Hey look, you might need a break. Maybe you should step away, you need to get your health in order.’ I just think whatever is best for Shannon is what she needs to do.”
However, Emily also revealed that she and Shannon had enjoyed “some brief texting” after her arrest. And the RHOC star sent her well wishes to Beador. “I did wish her well. I told her that I was thinking of her. If she needed anything, I would do whatever it was that she needed.”

But Simpson also pointed out to the concerns around drunk driving. “It’s not like you can talk your way out of this one. You have to take accountability and responsibility for it. You have to make some changes in your life to move forward.”
Meanwhile, Real Housewives of Orange County fans have fretted over the fact that Shannon’s arrest came with her fan fave dog Archie in the car. For instance, amid reports that animal control had begun investigating, one fan wrote, “She’s really lucky Archie didn’t get hurt or become a 60 pound projectile.”
And another pointed out that Shannon “hit so hard” when she clipped a house. “He had to have been shaking and thrown.” But others pointed out that reports claim Beador then tried to act as if she had begun taking Archie for a walk. “And then she dragged him out of the car to look like she had just been on a walk. That poor guy. He may have been in pain!!” shared one Real Housewives viewer.
And one RHOC fan admitted, “That’s the part that really makes me mad. You just got your dog involved in a crash, but screw if he’s hurt. You need an alibi!”
