The Voice Spoilers – Reba McEntire Struggles

Reba McEntire, 68, came onto The Voice hoping to replace Blake Shelton as country music’s coach. But Shelton’s powerful voice and presence didn’t prove as easy to replace as she hoped. And experienced coaches John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan have added to Reba’s struggles.

For instance, the season thus far has shown McEntire pleading with contestants to choose her. And Reba has recruited six of her 13 team members by default. As a result, rumors have soared that Reba feels miserable as a coach on The Voice, reported Us.

But the country music songstress denied those rumors. And she claimed that she has experienced “the best time. We’re having a blast,” added Reba. “It is competition, it’s fun rivalry, but we have the best time on that show. And what blows me away is the amount of talent [that] keeps coming on. We’re in season 24 and the talent is unbelievable. I hope everybody watches.”

However, Reba also got honest about with whom she most often goes “head to head.” And she admitted that she and former One Direction member Horan, 30, “always kind of” battle. But McEntire also confessed that she found Stefani, 54, “so intimidating” initially.

And the country music singer revealed, “I thought she was being mean to me.” But then Gwen told Reba, “I just want you to like me.” And McEntire informed Stefani, “Well, that’s all you had to say.” As a result, Reba claimed that she and Gwen became “best friends.”

However, McEntire also denied rumors that she will quit The Voice before the finale for the season. And she vowed, “Well, not right yet, we’re not through!” But The Voice previously confirmed that Reba will return as a coach for season 25.

The Voice Spoilers – Season 25 Stars First Coaching Duo

Scheduled to debut in spring 2024, season 25 of The Voice will see McEntire face off with coaches John Legend and Chance the Rapper. But Reba also will do her best challenging the first coaching duo on The Voice, country pop artists Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, known as Dan + Shay.

McEntire confirmed rumors in May that she would join The Voice after her country music colleague Blake Shelton exited. Shelton, 47, starred as a coach on The Voice since it debuted in April 2011.
