Robyn Brown Blames “Age” As The Reason the Other Wives Fell Out of Love With Kody

Okay, let’s do a quick recap. In November 2021, news broke that Kody and Christine’s spiritual marriage of 25 years has ended. This knocked him down to three wives.

In December 2022, Janelle, who continued to be close to Christine despite her split from the family, decided to quit the plural marriage as well. And this is the shocking aspect; a few days after Janelle announced her split, Meri, Kody Brown’s first wife of 32 years, revealed she’d be leaving the Brown family.

Now, Kody is all down to Robyn – the one he divorced Meri to marry in 2014. And she believes that “age” was behind the other wives’ decision to quit the “marriage.”

Fans of “Sister Wives” got to see the family dynamic shift when the pandemic hit and Kody imposed strict rules to keep the disease in check within the family.

This caused friction, as each wife was left on their own, with only Kody being allowed to visit. “We weren’t as united, and everybody [was] disagreeing about how to handle it. And it became this fight and people were so independent by that point,” Robyn told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.

As for the reason why Meri, Janelle and Christine left in quick succession, she blamed “age” for messing with their feelings for Kody.

“I think it’s just also kind of an age thing,” she noted. “What I’ve heard, is that you get to a point where you aren’t as interested or care as much, or you just become more independent as a woman in a marriage and as obsessed with or interested as much in maybe your hubby and everything.”

Recalling their final years together, she said, “I’ve heard them all talk about, ‘Well, I don’t know if I want this anymore,’ or, ‘I just want something different,’ or, ‘I used to be OK with this and how this was going, but now I’m not OK accepting what it’s been.’”

Fans are particularly happy that Meri left, because she’s been taking crap from Kody over the years.
