Savannah Chrisley – Spends Weeks Without Seeing Parents
It’s been weeks since Savannah Chrisley last saw her parents Todd and Julie in prison. And the Chrisley Knows Best alum justified her absence by explaining her new priorities via E News.
Savannah shared that one reason involves her role as guardian to her brother Grayson and niece Chloe. But then the Chrisley Knows Best alum confessed that she decided to focus on her romance with Robert Shiver rather than spend time with her imprisoned parents.
As a result, Savannah estimated that about three weeks have passed since she last saw Todd and Julie in prison. But she called the decision to focus on her new romance with Shiver a “really tough” situation.
Savannah Chrisley – Wants ‘Something For Myself’
However, the Chrisley Knows Best star revealed that she at first struggled to juggle visiting Todd and Julie with her new romance and caring for her niece and brother. “That has been really tough,” admitted the 26-year-old on her Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast. “Especially going to visit mom and dad and being in a relationship and feeling like I want something for myself at times.”
And so Savannah took a break from her habit of visiting Todd and Julie almost every weekend. The Chrisley Knows Best patriarch continues to serve his time at Federal Correctional Institution (FPI) Pensacola in Florida. And the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch remains behind bars at FMC Lexington in Kentucky.
But Savannah shared that her new romance combined with her role as the guardian of her 17-year-old brother Grayson and 11-year-old niece Chloe meant changing her schedule. And Savannah also pointed out that Grayson and Chloe need her for help with “travel and holidays and school and work.”
Savannah Chrisley – Feels ‘Layer Of Guilt’
However, Savannah admitted, “I have this layer of guilt that weights over me like, ‘Oh my gosh, you have to go see and them. Like, how selfish of you?’ I’m the angel on one side and devil on the other, of just this constant battle of feeling what I’m doing isn’t enough.”
Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, received guilty verdicts of tax evasion and bank fraud last year. And both Chrisley Knows Best stars started serving their sentences in January 2023. As a result, Savannah shared that the holidays have become a time for “grief.”
And she also suffered a loss. Savannah’s former fiancé Nick Kerdiles died in a motorcycle crash in September. However, the Chrisley Knows Best alum has moved on with Robert Shiver. A former athlete, his estranged wife allegedly hired a hit man to kill him in what became dubbed the Beauty Queen Murder Plot.
