Savannah Chrisley Details Heartbreaking Split From Robert Shiver

Savannah Chrisley, from the Chrisley Knows Best show, recently announced her separation from Robert Shiver, who she publicly revealed as her boyfriend in September 2023. The news was initially shared as a teaser for her “Unlocked” podcast. Now that the episode aired, she provided more details.

The Details Of The Split

First up, fans need to know that Savannah didn’t break it off. She reiterated that they split about “a month and a half ago” on March 6th, as she did in her teaser. She once again claimed that she fully expected to make a life with the former footballer.

It seems that mostly, Savannah blames Robert’s wife for the split. The divorce is taking a long time, and she’s grown to love Robert’s kids. But according to Robert, it’s just too much for them to cope with. So, he broke it off because he loves the former USA Network star.

The Reality star said:

I will never forget driving away from Robert’s house just sobbing hysterically in tears. I cried the whole way home, a seven to eight-hour drive. I just cried. I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know what to say. None of it makes sense, like how can you say you love someone, you’re in love with someone, but you can’t be with them? It was heartbreaking for me, and then I got home, I immediately texted my therapist and was like, “Hey, I need to get in. I need to be in on the regular, please.”

Todd Chrisley’s daughter also said that they had gone so far in their relationship as to actually look into fertility treatment to have their own kids. Advice that she got was to cut off Robert Shiver completely. However, she admitted that she failed because one of his kids had a birthday.

They are not talking every day, but they do stay in contact. And that’s something her therapist thinks should stop. But once again, she spoke about his kids, and Savannah Chrisley felt angry when one of them seemed shocked at the split. Anyway, eventually she wrote to Robert and told him it was all over from her side as well.

It’s been devastating for Savannah Chrisley, but at least, she realized that she would never again consider dating a person whose “divorce is not finalized.” She added, “I am still grieving the loss of the life I thought I was going to live. I’m trying to figure out how to navigate all of this and just be a better version of myself.”

Next, she told her fans, “I’m really proud of myself for how I’ve handled it because I’m not jumping from one relationship to the next. I’m truly taking time to grieve and figure out what I want differently next.”
