Savannah Chrisley Recalls When Robert Shiver Met Her Mom

Chrisley Knows Best alum, Savannah Chrisley finally produced her boyfriend, Robert Shiver on her Unlocked podcast. They chatted for a long time and gave a rundown of how they met. They also talked about Grayson, and about the time Robert met her mom, Julie Chrisley. 

Savannah Chrisley & Robert Shiver Are Doing Okay

Robert Shiver and the Chrisley Knows Best family get along well. In particular, he seems to be a great stand-in father figure for Grayson Chrisley. In fact, USA Network fans feel optimistic that he will do well in college with someone like Robert to check in with him from time to time.

Savannah Chrisley’s dad. Todd has not yet met Robert Shiver in person. But, he did react when he found out his daughter was dating him. Actually, he was completely against the whole idea. And, as fans know, Todd has strong opinions. Apart from that, the couple seems to be doing okay together. 

Savannah Chrisley & Robert Talk Meeting Julie 

In the most recent Unlocked podcast on YouTube, Savannah asked Robert Shiver if he’d “met mom and dad.” The conversation started at the 1:07:41 marker in the video further down in this article. Well, it turned out that he hadn’t met Todd, but he did meet Julie Chrisley in prison. Robert told Savannah:

I have met your Mother one time…incredible human being. Me and Julie we get along.

Savannah Chrisley then encouraged him to “tell everyone how that was.” Then she added, ” I have to say for me like you’re not seeing the best version of my mother. So that was really difficult for me. [After all,] you’re going to visit her in a prison, and dear God I don’t think you’ve ever thought ‘oh I’m going to go see my girlfriend’s mom in prison like meet her for the first time.”

Was Robert Shiver Uncomfortable With Julie?

Savannah Chrisley’s boyfriend didn’t seem shocked about meeting Julie in prison, he told the USA Network alum:

I was just open you know. It’s so easy to talk tough behind the keyboard …and that’s why I just stay away from all of that stuff… I knew Grayson. I
knew Chloe and so for me… I’m going into
this open… This is somebody that you love…so…I uh went in with an open mind and it didn’t disappoint..and had a great time with her. She
laughed a ton.
