Savannah Chrisley seemed happy in early December 2024, when AP reported that Pensacola FPC would be closing. However, that didn’t go far enough for the Chrisley Knows Best alum, and she now wants to prevent the prison’s demolition. Why is that? Read on to find out her reasoning.
Savannah Chrisley Rants About Prison Conditions
Todd Chrisley reported to Pensacola Prison camp to serve 12 years for fraud and tax-related offenses. His daughter didn’t hang about and soon started complaining about nasty conditions. They included black mold, poor medical facilities, and more. In her fight for change, she managed to find some support from various influencers.
Savannah Chrisley claims that she has important information regarding the abusive treatment of prisoners at Pensacola. Furthermore, she highlighted some issues at the prison camp where her mom, Julie Chrisley is serving seven years. Recently, Julie returned to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky Well, if things are so bad, why would she want Pensacola to remain intact?
Savannah Chrisley Doesn’t Want Pensacola Demolished
In a recent session of her Unlocked podcast, the Chrisley Knows Best alum explained why she hates the idea of the prison being taken down. Well, it seems that she fears it might destroy the evidence that she wants. Actually, it might already be available because it was the BOP that admitted to “significant disrepair.” But, she doesn’t see it that way.

Savannah Chrisley said, in part:
[The closure of Pensacola] is not my end goal until I get all the documentation that I need, and the documentation that I need is a full inspection…of that facility and the environments. I need to know the amount of lead-based paint, black mold, asbestos… the numbers in the drinking water. I need to know it all because there are men leaving there with numerous medical issues. Cancer, you name it.

Todd Chrisley’s daughter also said that she intends to fight the BOP “tooth and nail.” In the YouTube video further down in this article, Savannah Chrisley spoke about Pensacola at the 38:45 marker.

- When is she going to realize that her and her family are no one special? They’re no different than anyone else and shouldn’t be treated otherwise.
- Her wanting to preserve Pensacola FPC [until] they could gather evidence’ is crazy. They’re tearing it down because they don’t have funds to fix it and the Navy wants to reclaim the land. It’s not all about Savannah.
- This poor child….doesn’t she know the government doesn’t do anything expeditiously??!??!!! Her big mouth is gonna get the place torn down before Toddy…[gets] shipped to some federal outpost in the mountain time zone.
