For many years, Christine Brown was involved in a polygamous situation with one Kody Brown, who is also “spiritually married” to Meri and Janelle. Well, he was officially married to Meri – his first wife – at one point before he met Robyn and decided she deserved to be the one he was legally married to.
So, four wives in all. For may years, that is. These days, he’s in a one man one wife relationship since his three wives left him to pursue other things that make them happy.
Word on the street is that Christine Brown will be releasing a memoir through Simon and Schuster very soon, and it will focus on faith, family and finding freedom. It’s okay for hard core fans of the show to wonder if there’s any particularly enticing revelation she could do in the memoir that they haven’t been privy to due to watching their show for years, but the ‘Sister Wives’ star promises that there are.
Christine Brown’s Memoir Described As A “Groundbreaking” Revelation of the Choices that Led Her Into And Out Of Marriage With Kody Brown
Nobody’s going to say that ‘Sister Wives’ advertised polygamy as the easiest thing in the world. There were a lot of low points, anger, shouting, backbiting, even jealousy, but in a way the wives – in this case Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn – have always shared their belief in the marriage and its contribution to their happiness.
Now that veil’s about to crack in the way of a Christine Brown memoir, poignantly titled, ‘Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Finding Freedom.’
Simon & Schuster describes the book as “a groundbreaking and heartfelt memoir about living in a family like no other and finding the strength to leave Mormonism—and the only life she’s known—behind.”
In context, the Browns aren’t actually practicing Mormonism in all its strict rules and stuff, they just belonged to the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), a fundamentalist offshoot of the Mormon church.
After years of being neglected by Kody, Christine decided to take her youngest daughter Truely and leave. In November 2021, she returned to Utah where she met “the love of her life,” David Wooley.
Now they’re happily married and Christine is discovering the joys of being the center of a partner’s life, instead of being the side show.

Hopefully she will tell the truth about why she remained in a loveless relationship. She chose to remain with Kody even when for years she should have known that he didn’t want her. How and why does a woman remain in a relationship, knowing that she wasn’t getting what she wanted, then get angry, and jealous because he’s sleeping with three other women, and he cares more for one than the other three. Who really is the blame when a man shows a woman that she’s not want, and she decides to stay????
