Janelle Brown is ensuring Meri Brown is mindful of her share in the Coyote Pass property. In a preview of the upcoming Sister Wives episode airing on Sunday, Nov. 10, Janelle emphasizes to Meri the importance of securing her rightful portion of the Coyote Pass land in Flagstaff, Arizona.
This property is shared between the two women, their ex-husband Kody Brown, and his remaining wife, Robyn Brown.
Sister Wive Spoilers – Janelle Brown’s Advice To Meri
“I’m going to suggest to you that you protect your interest in it as far as what you’re entitled to — a quarter of it,” Janelle advises Meri, referring to the four connected plots.
Meri seems doubtful, remarking that she doesn’t think she needs any “protection” and asking Janelle, “Don’t you think that we have each other’s backs?”
Janelle responds bluntly, “No, I really don’t,” leading Meri to reflect in a confessional about whether Kody and Robyn might not have her best interests in mind concerning the property.
Meri considers the idea that Kody and Robyn could potentially aim to secure the land solely for themselves but ultimately dismisses it, saying, “I don’t think that they’re going to screw us over.”
She also gives a brief overview of the current status of the property, explaining its origins and purpose: “We bought these four lots when we moved here to Flagstaff at Coyote Pass with the intention of dividing them up into five pieces of property and eventually building on them. We’re now at the point in the next couple of months that we need to pay it off.”
Questioning Janelle Brown’s Support
As the scene progresses, Meri questions Janelle’s support, asking, “Do you not have my back?” Janelle reassures her to an extent, stating, “I will watch out for you, but I just want to make sure, Meri — this is really your entire estate. I’m just telling you that you should be aware of what’s going on. I would just make sure that what you’re getting is fair.”
In her own confessional, Janelle further clarifies that while Meri is “technically is entitled to a quarter of the value of the property,” her name is listed on only one piece, shared with Janelle and Kody. This means if the property is sold, she might not actually receive the full quarter share she’s entitled to.
Having announced her split from Kody in December 2022, Janelle has been outspoken about her concerns regarding their shared assets, previously indicating that she might consider seeking legal counsel to protect her interests.
During the Sept. 22 episode, Janelle expressed frustration over being left in the dark by Kody about Coyote Pass. Janelle and Meri, who also ended their relationship with Kody in 2022, view this land as a significant asset they would take from their marriages.
At this point, Robyn remains the only wife in what was once a plural marriage. In December 2023, she shared that she felt “abandoned” by her former sister wives after the multiple separations.
Christine Brown, the first to leave, announced her decision in November 2021, citing that she and Kody had “grown apart” after more than 25 years together.
Sister Wives airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
