Kody Brown has accepted the fact that his once-dreamed of multiple families has come to an end. He is now attempting to persuade Robyn Brown, his surviving wife, to acknowledge this upsetting reality as well. On the October 13th episode of Sister Wives, the disintegration of Kody’s marriages to Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown remained a major plot point.
Kody, 55, and Robyn, 45, were preparing for their first Christmas apart from their huge family. Robyn expressed her extreme distress over this, saying she was “completely and utterly heartbroken.”
Sister Wives Spoilers – Robyn Brown’s Expression To Be In A Plural Marriage
In a confessional, Robyn expressed her dismay, saying, “This isn’t what I envisioned my life to be,” she then said in a confessional. “I always wanted to live a plural marriage. I’m in this place where everything that’s going on is just, it’s taking away all those choices for me.”
She further elaborated, saying, “I’m struggling with my identity and what does it mean and I don’t see my future anymore and the hopes and dreams that I had were just disappearing before my eyes.”
Kody, however, had a different outlook. In his own confessional, he acknowledged that Robyn was still holding on to a vision that no longer exists.
I’ve always said, this woman has a spine of concrete and steel and she’s been holding on to the dream that I sold her on with my family for a lot longer,” he continued. “But I keep trying to go, ‘Let’s move on. Let’s let this go. Let’s just tell ourselves and believe it,’ because I believe it now.
He continued, “It was never meant to be. It was never meant to work.”
Sister Wives Spoilers – Marriage Disaster in Sister’s Wives
Over the course of 14 months, Kody’s marriages to Meri, 53, Janelle, 55, and Christine, 52, all ended. Meri was the last to leave, with the former couple officially confirming their separation through a joint statement on Instagram in January 2023.
In the same episode, Meri made the final move to dissolve her marriage by requesting a release from their religious bond, which was granted.
Reflecting on the decision, Meri explained, “They did say that it was on the grounds of abandonment,” she explained. “And I know he doesn’t like that word because he doesn’t feel like he abandoned me. I feel like he did.”
