Sister Wives Spoilers – Kody Brown Preaches Polygamy Perfection
Kody Brown went from a plural marriage with four wives to one. But the Sister Wives patriarch won’t let his failure stop him from preaching about polygamy to others. And so Kody shared what he views as the ideal number of wives via Page Six.
But after watching Meri, Christine, and Janelle Brown exit his marriage, the Sister Wives patriarch views four wives as one too many. As a result, he doesn’t advise other men to “marry and go over three wives.”
However, Kody no longer sees himself as wanting to spend time pushing others into plural marriages. “I’m not an advocate of plural marriage,” he admitted as he faced the reality of seeing all his wives split except for Robyn. “But I’ve had my own experience in it,” he pointed out.
Sister Wives Spoilers – Kody Brown Boasts About Experience
However, Kody did admit that he experienced some “failures” in his plural marriage. Because of that, I’m like, you got to be really, really wise about who is doing it, how they’re doing it,” he added.
And the Sister Wives patriarch dished up his tips on how to keep a plural marriage strong. “If you know people very very, very well, maybe it’ll work,” he said. But Kody then admitted that some marriages involve “people who know each other very, very, very well, and they still don’t work.”
And as he looked back on his three ex-wives, Kody added, “When I was 25, I had no experience and all the answers. Now I’m 55 and I have all the experience and zero answers.”
That experience includes three ex wives and one current one. Christine exited the family in November 2021. And Janelle left a year later. But Christine also shared that for years, she rarely became intimate with Kody.
“It was, like, five times in one year,” recalled Christine. “There’s sex and then there’s intimacy. What we didn’t have was intimacy,” the 51-year-old added. “The intimacy itself had been gone for years.”
However, Meri suffered when Kody broke up with her in 2022 after 32 years together. The two share one child, 26-year-old Leon, who came out as transgender in June, 2022.
And with just Robyn remaining, Kody insists that he doesn’t want to try polygamy again. “I would have to tell that woman I will never love you as much as I love her,” he told Robyn. And he added, “Now I know better.”
