Sister Wives viewers have enjoyed a front row seat to Kody Brown’s approach to polygamy. And many fans blamed the Sister Wives patriarch for three of his four wives departing one by one.
As a result of that situation, Christine, Meri and Janelle all qualify for Kody’s “Ex Wives Club.” Keep reading to learn more.
Sister Wives Spoilers – Christine Shares ‘Ex Wives Club’
Kody Brown once took pride in showing off his four wives Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, Meri Brown, and Robyn Brown. But after seeing the first three ladies exit his plural marriage, the Sister Wives patriarch seems to have shed a few of his proud peacock feathers. And credit goes to Christine for mocking the situation by unveiling a very exclusive new club via People.
Turning to social media, the 51-year-old Sister Wives star posted a clever meme that satirized the poster for the 1996 film First Wives Club. The original poster showed the film’s stars Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton puffing on cigars. But in Christine’s version, Meri replaced Midler, Christine replaced Goldie, and Janelle showed up in place of Diane.
And Christine added to the meme, “Oh my gosh!! I laughed my head off when I saw this!!” The Sister Wives star’s meme post also changed the original movie title to the Ex Wives Club in honor of all three reality TV stars splitting from Kody.
Sister Wives Spoilers – When Did Kody Brown’s Plural Marriages Fail?
Meri, Janelle, and Christine each devoted more than two decades to their marriage to Kody. But then came Christine’s split from the Sister Wives patriarch in November 2021. And like a carefully placed sequence of dominoes set to collapse one by one, each marriage subsequently fell apart.
After Christine’s exit, Janelle decided to separate. And her split came in December 2022. But in terms of bombshells, Meri’s departure stunned via a Sister Wives: One on One episode shocker. However, the separation didn’t become official until January.
And Meri lasted the longest with Kody, tying the knot 32 years ago. Janelle signed up for the polygamous marriage in 1993. And Christine came on board the following year. However, Christine and Janelle formed spiritual rather than legal marriages with the Sister Wives patriarch.
Sister Wives Spoilers – Christine Brown Shares Her ‘Fairy Tale’
But Kody does still remain legally married. And that status results from tying the knot with his fourth and only remaining wife, Robyn Brown. She joined the family in 2010.
Meanwhile, Christine tied the knot with David Woolley this month. And after meeting on a dating website last year, the Sister Wives star gushed, “I’ve never been in love like this before, and the world seems like a brighter place with him in it.” She called her wedding a “fairy tale. It’s everything I never thought I would have,” she added. “I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”
However, Christine has stayed close to Janelle. And she admitted feeling concerned about David in terms of bringing her six kids with Kody and relationship with Janelle to a new marriage. Kody and Christine share Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, Truely, 13, and son Paedon, 25.
But Christine shared that her new husband accepted her children as well as her sister wife. However, she noted that David “knew people that lived [in] polygamy.” But he does not view himself as a polygamist. “He knew about polygamy enough, he understood it, and we just clicked,” she said.
