A preview clip for Sister Wives reveal Kody Brown shocking his wife Meri. And the Sister Wives patriarch, 54, makes a cruel comment amid an anniversary dinner. However, the spoilers via the Sun show that Meri, 52, seems to get the worst treatment of all of Kody’s wives.

The sneak peek shows Kody and Meri separately describing what happened during their anniversary dinner. And the spoilers reveal that Meri needed to make the call to initiate the anniversary meal.

However, Kody then feels he needs time to decide if he feels willing to go to dinner with his first wife. And then Meri feels shocked at his cruelness.

Kody “made some reference to faking relationships or something like that,” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘What do you mean faking’?” Kody then pointed at his first wife, then back at himself to show that their relationship seemed fake to him.

And just in case Meri still didn’t get it, Kody said “Well, this [is fake]. I don’t know why you even bother to call and say, ‘Happy Anniversary,’ Meri.”

And the Sister Wives patriarch shared that he didn’t feel married to her. But though viewers thought it seemed clear, Meri called that cruel comment “a big realization for me. All this time, all these years, that’s how he’s felt about it. But, I haven’t known that.”

However, fans felt shocked at Meri’s surprise. For instance, one noted on social media, “Look, the only person who found it shocking was Meri. The rest of us have been hearing him say it for years.” And another pointed out that Meri seems like “the last person alive who didn’t know that.”

But one fan threw shade at the whole cast, sharing, “If any of these people were emotionally functional adults and/or watched any one episode of this show, she would have already known this.” Ad another noted, “After he legally divorced her to legally be husband and wife to Robyn she should have known her place at that point. The spiritual wives will always joke themselves.”

Meri and Kody share one child, Leon Brown, 28. And though they did marry, the couple legally divorced in September 2014. That left Meri as a spiritual wife. And it allowed Kody to tie the knot with his fourth wife Robyn, 45. He then adopted her children from her previous marriage.
