After splitting from Kody Brown, Meri made a decision to change. And she has demonstrated the results of that change in frequent quotes on her Instagram page. For instance, the Sister Wives star’s newest inspirational quote focuses on her setting higher standards, pointed out People.

But the quote also showed that Meri will no longer apologize for choosing her independence. And it read, “Never apologize for having high standards.” Credited to an unknown source, the quote concluded, “People who really want to be in your life will rise up to meet them.” The quotation puts the emphasis on how Meri has sought to live her best life after splitting from Kody Brown.

Meri’s exit came after 32 years with the Sister Wives patriarch. She left in 2022, following Christine Brown and Janelle Brown’s splits from Kody. However, Robyn Brown has held onto her marriage to the Sister Wives patriarch.

But when she shared the breakup, Meri admitted that Kody set the terms of their marriage. And the Sister Wives star explained that she looked forward to a new start after the move to Flagstaff, Arizona. However, Kody didn’t follow through to meet her expectations.

And Meri credited her own fresh start to Christine. The Sister Wives star pointed out the contradiction that occurred when Christine made the decision to exit. And Meri explained that it didn’t make sense to her that Kody “would be so frustrated with Christine.” 

The sister Wives patriarch baffled Meri by claiming, “She just made this decision. We didn’t consult, we didn’t talk, she just made the decision. And then he says, ‘No, I don’t consider myself married to Meri.’ Like, he just made the decision. I’ve never heard him say that to me,” added Meri.

In the wake of that exit, Meri has focused on friendships and forming her new goals. And she shared her goals on Instagram. “Every one of us is WORTHY of what we want. It’s not selfish to have a dream, desire, or goal,” shared the Sister Wives star. “Do you know what your dream even is?” asked Meri. And she challenged her followers to “start thinking about it, writing about it. Once you give yourself permission to dream, start doing something every day that gets you a little closer to it.”
