Southern Charm Spoilers – Olivia Flowers Mourns Brother’s Death
Months after Southern Charm star Olivia Flowers learned that her brother Conner had shockingly died at just 32, she still struggles with her heartbreak. And Olivia called him “just the most amazing guy.” But the 31-year-old Southern Charm star told People that her brother struggled with Lyme disease.
And amid treating his disease, Conner became addicted. “It’s just heartbreaking,” Olivia shared. “There are these holes in the healthcare system, and my brother fell into one.”
And the Southern Charm star recalled how Lyme disease caused Conner to suffer starting at age 15. “I remember my parents taking him to doctors literally around the world trying to find answers to these symptoms that he talked about to no avail,” she said. “My parents saw the best of the best clinics, and Conner was just told over and over, ‘It’s all in your head, you’re fine’.”

Southern Charm Spoilers – Conner Flowers Depended On Painkillers
As a result of his condition, doctors prescribed painkillers for Conner along with medication for his anxiety. And Olivia noticed that he “started depending, at a very young age, on this prescription medicine to feel normal. And we as a family started to see this toll it took on his body.”
But the pain continued amid his addiction to painkillers and anti-anxiety medication. And after years, Conner did receive a referral to a functional medicine doctor who turned to his condition rather than the symptoms.
“Now, not only was he getting treatment for Lyme, but he was also in rehab dealing with getting off this medicine,” Olivia recalled. And she added, “Nobody wanted to get better more than Conner did. It was just such a hard time.”

And the Southern Charm star described her family as seeking to support her brother. “But for years he was just in and out of rehab, trying so hard to get on the other side of this.” And amid Olivia filming this season, Conner spent time at a wellness center.
“He was in the best shape I’d seen him in years,” Olivia recalled. But then Olivia received a call from her father. “And then… he’s gone,” she added.
The coroner ruled Conner’s cause of death as accidental overdose of fentanyl. And Olivia shared that “discussing this loss with a larger audience hasn’t been easy. But I definitely want to step outside my comfort zone and use my platform to shed some light and awareness and possibly help others, because I know I’d be honoring Conner in some way by doing that.”
