Southern Charm: Taylor Ann Green Spills Tea On Season 9

Southern Charm spoilers reveal Shep Rose’s ex girlfriend Taylor Ann Green struggling throughout season 9. But in a new interview, Taylor shared her side of the challenges in everything from friendships to romance.

Southern Charm Spoilers – Taylor Describes ‘Really Tough’ Times

Season 9 of Southern Charm has shown Taylor Ann Green doing much of the heavy lifting in terms of drama. And when the cast (along with the viewers) found that she kissed her ex boyfriend Shep’s buddy Austen Kroll amid his own rocky relationship with Taylor’s best friend Olivia Flowers, comparisons to Vanderpump Rules seemed inevitable.

But while Taylor tried to apologize for lying about that kiss, the Southern Charm cast didn’t all  forgive so easily. And they definitely didn’t forget. Add in the tragic death of Olivia’s brother Connor, and Taylor called it a “really, really tough” season via TV Insider.

“It’s one thing to go through a bunch of stuff,” she noted. “But to have all these eyes on you while you’re going through heartache and rough times. Everyone is weighing in. It has been tough. I know I did it to myself,” Taylor added. “But it has been tough hearing the background chatter. I’ve been trying to stay disconnected and not read comments and stay off social media.”

Southern Charm Spoilers – Processing A Breakup

And Taylor pointed out that the cast members are “only human. We make mistakes. I think a lot of people forget I didn’t have time to process the breakup between Shep and I,” she added. “He was out of the country, and when he came back into the country, it was this whole bunch of emotions that came back around.”

But Taylor also owned up to “acting silly and making mistakes. I own up to it. Then obviously, when cameras hit the ground everyone has to talk about it. Then I get to relive it here 10 months later. It’s tough before it happened, tough while it happened, and then tough after the fact it all happened, but I’m hanging in there.”

However, the Southern Charm star expressed frustration about what happened when she kissed Austen. “It’s very frustrating, but part of our job to be intertwined and interconnected. Everyone has to be in everyone’s business. The frustrating thing was when all that transpired, the only people that were involved were me, Austen, and then Olivia and Shep. The fact that other people are weighing in, it’s not their business.”

Southern Charm Spoilers – Taylor Feels ‘Overambitious’

Circling back to that kiss, Taylor understands the reasons for the spotlight. And the Southern Charm star pointed out that Austen has remained “Shep’s good friend for eight-plus years. So, Shep and Austen have this long-standing friendship. I see where I came across wronging a friend of mine and also Shep.”

But Taylor also admitted that she “lied and hurt a friend and ex along the way.” And she dropped a clue to what happens this season on Southern Charm. “You’ll see as the season goes on,” hinted Taylor. “But it just seems it’s not enough.”

However, Taylor also wished that she handled talking to Olivia about kissing Austen in a different way. “I wished I had pulled her aside to maybe a different room, but I had to get it off my chest,” she admitted. But Taylor “didn’t want it to come from anyone else because this group likes to chat. I was a little overambitious.” And she regrets that aspect of what happened. “But I wanted her to be the first one she heard about it from,” added Taylor.

Southern Charm Spoilers – Reality Check Time

As for the future, Taylor feels that she received a “reality check. A lot of people got through stuff like that, and it’s never out for the world to see. I really should have seen a therapist when Shep and I broke up.” And Taylor regrets letting her emotions “get the best of me and jab at Shep, texting Whitney. I should have tried to better myself.” But while she “knew where I needed to be, but I couldn’t get myself there.”

And Taylor also teased future episodes, promising that the spotlight on her kiss with Austen will eventually play out. But the Southern Charm star revealed that even her ex boyfriend Shep wants the circular dialogue on that kiss to end. And Taylor shared that she feels more than ready to move on.
