Survivor: Jeff Probst Teases New All-Star Season

Survivor 46 is currently underway on CBS and all new episodes are airing on Wednesday nights.  But, Survivor King Jeff Probst is already looking towards the future and hinted an upcoming all-stars cast full of iconic returning players.  Keep reading for all the details, Survivor spoilers ahead!

Survivor 46 kicked off this Spring, which means the CBS reality game show is roughly two years away from its monumental 50 the Anniversary season.  If Survivor stays on schedule, superfans predict the celebratory season will kick off in early 2027.

Somehow CBS mainstay Survivor has withstood the test of time, despite some scandals over the past two decades, the pandemic, and some seasons with less than stellar ratings.  Jeff Probst & Co definitely have staying power.

Despite the fact that three more seasons of Survivor will have to air before the 50th Anniversary, there has already been a lot of buzz on social media about what kind of stops CBS will pull out. 

Special guests, filming locations, and game twists are all up for debate.  After over 20 loyal years, the fans definitely deserve something over the top.

Jeff Probst seems to think the 50th Anniversary season should be a cast of returning players, not newbies.  In fact, he all but declared that would be the case during a recent interview.

Jeff Probst – Drops Returning Players Bomb

Probst recently took the stage at a For Your Consideration event in Hollywood, and it wasn’t long before talk turned to Survivor spoilers and the 50th anniversary season. 

Jeff joked, “We know 50’s coming, so I am curious, is there a feeling… Should 50 just be — should 50 be another season with new players and [we] don’t make it a big deal? Or should it be returning players?”

Probst added “I feel like we should just commit and make this the moment where we decide that Survivor… That Survivor 50 will be returning players.”
