Golden Bachelor Spoilers – A Wedding ‘Vision Board’
Gerry Turner can’t wait until his wedding day arrives. And after the Golden Bachelor star became engaged to Theresa Nist on the show’s finale, she told People that both have enlisted their daughters to help plan the ceremony.
However, before the couple exchange vows in a ceremony that ABC will televise live in January, they need to figure out everything from the menu to the music. But their daughters have become “so involved,” revealed Theresa, 70.
And Gerry, 72, feels happy to let the women make the decisions. But Theresa shared that her daughter Jen has taken a special role. “My daughter, she’s seen a million weddings and she is incredible. She’s put together the vision board,” shared Nist.

And Theresa gushed, “This is awesome. She’s handling it pretty much.” But her future husband, Gerry, feels just as thrilled.
And Turner shared, “I can just hear the joy in her voice when I talk to her and she’s talking about whether it’s a dress or a cake or flowers or whatever it is. It makes me so happy that she’s having this much of a good time with it. It’s like, what could be more fun?”
However, Gerry did offer some input on the plans. But thus far, the couple has remained “pretty much in harmony. I haven’t seen anything that wouldn’t work. It’s going to be spectacular.”
And Turner did make a choice about his own attire. He wants to wear a blue suit. In contrast, Theresa faces more elaborate decisions about her veil and gown. And she also has given some thought to the perfect wedding cake.

However, Theresa does know what she wants for flowers. “Because my daughter and I are both gardeners,” she explained. “But it’s just spectacular, what is going to happen.”
And though the couple still needs to choose the song for their first dance, Theresa hopes to get “a certain band. I’m not going to say who it is [because I’m] not sure if we would get it. But I really would love a choreographed dance.”
And after the wedding, Gerry and Theresa will travel to Italy for their honeymoon, courtesy of ABC. “It’s the top of her list and it’s become the top of mine,” revealed the Golden Bachelor star. But he hopes that his future wife will make the plans for their honeymoon.
“Theresa’s a really good planner,” he praised. “So when it comes to vacations, this is one thing I’m looking forward to is, we’ll agree on a budget, she can plan and I just show up the first day.” And Theresa anticipates “finding a home together and creating that home that everyone would want to come to — our entire family, our friends,” she shared.
But she also looks forward to “just exploring life together and having adventures, going on vacation together and having a fun, incredible, wonderful life. We feel like we’re going to have the best lives ever.” ABC will air The Golden Wedding on Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
