Bachelor mansion presented both thrills and potential spills for the Golden Bachelor contestants. For instance, 60-year-old Natascha felt that it seemed like a dream come true to reside there. But then the contestants faced the reality of roommates, not enough closet space, and bunk beds, pointed out People.
And Theresa, 70, commented, “I get the bunk and I start thinking maybe I’m going to sleep out on the porch tonight or might find a closet,.” But with four women competing for space, 75-year-old Sandra refused to take a top bed. And she explained, “I’ve had my knees replaced.”
But even fears of a top bunk bed vanished when Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer appeared with a date card. And Theresa felt “thrilled” at getting “the first one-on-one date. But also I’m really a little scared,” she admitted.

Golden Bachelor Spoilers – Theresa Nist Worries About Love
And Theresa explained, “I think I have a connection with Gerry. But Billy was the love of my life and can I find that again?” However, she revealed, “Before my husband Billy died, he actually said to me, ‘I hope you do find someone, I hope you do get married again’.”
And Gerry bonds with Theresa at a diner. And as she recalls Billy’s death, Gerry reflects on his own experience. “I’m so sorry. The loss of a spouse is the worst thing, I know what the feeling is like,” admitted the Golden Bachelor star, referencing the passing of his wife Toni six years ago.
And as Theresa reflects on her loneliness after her husband’s death eight years ago, Gerry gets romantic in wishing for someone with whom to “talk about the sunset.” And the Golden Bachelor star reveals that he had hoped to connect with Theresa. “But once I discovered the depth of that connection, it was far beyond the expectations that I had,” he admitted.

However, in true Bachelor tradition, the rose ceremony provided the most suspense. And Gerry shared, “A few days ago, we all met. We were strangers. We didn’t know anything about each other. And today, I look at this group of women and you’re all my friends.”
But the Golden Bachelor star admitted, “That really makes a night like this very difficult for me.” However, Gerry expressed faith in “this process. And I hope you know that I have high, strong feelings for all of you,” he added.
Leslie, Joan, Edith, Ellen, Sandra, Susan, Christina, Faith, April and Kathy received roses. But Natascha, Jeanie, Marina and Peggy faced seeing their quests to find love end. And Jesse showed concern for Gerry. But while the Golden Bachelor star shed tears over the farewells, Jesse pointed out that rose ceremonies can represent “the worst part” of the show.
And Gerry called it “somber and overwhelming to work hard to develop friendships.” As a result, the Golden Bachelor star felt that his inability to “take the next step” felt “disheartening.”
