Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Divorcing Wife Theresa Nist Just Three Months After TV Wedding

As the old saying goes, “Nothing lasts forever”, but Golden Bachelor fans weren’t expecting that the marriage between Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist wouldn’t even last six months.

Still, news has surfaced that after a mere three months since their splashy televised “dream” wedding aired, the couple have announced their divorce.

Golden Bachelor News: Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Are Getting A Divorce

As per Good Morning America (GMA), which airs on ABC, the very same network that the Bachelor franchise is attached to, Golden Bachelor Gerry, aged 72, and Theresa, aged 70, have decided to go their separate ways after only three months of officially being husband and wife.

According to GMA, the couple will open up about their divorce during an upcoming episode of the morning show. It’ll be interesting to see what the couple says about their reasons for this quickie separation.

The Couple Wasn’t Together From The Start

Is it overly surprising that Gerry and Theresa are splitting up? Fans just recently learned that the couple had been living in separate houses since they got hitched on TV, this past January. Gerry had been living at his Northern Indiana lake house, while Theresa was staying at her New Jersey home, with her family.

The two made Bachelor history as the first-ever Golden Bachelor couple to get married. They got engaged during the inaugural senior-edition season of the franchise and then got married just over a month following the Final Rose ceremony.

Turner was quoted in a Hollywood Reporter article saying that the two wanted to get married as quickly as possible, because of their age and the fact that they didn’t want to waste any time.

Their ceremony marked the ninth TV Bachelor wedding and was the first one done since 2014 when Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici said, “I do” in front of a massive, televised audience.
