The theories started when co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager shared their ideas for the spinoff. The Golden Bachelorette will include male contestants aged 60 and up.

Casting has already begun. Filming will start in the summer so it will premiere in the fall. Hoda and Jenna discussed the perfect celebrity lead for the show. They agreed in unison that the role should go to former Today Show co-host Kathie Lee.

Hoda said her former co-host “would be perfect” for the dating competition. Producer Justin joked that there’s “not enough chardonnay in the world to get Kathie Lee there.” Hoda feels that her best friend would be open to the idea.

“By the way, she would be a 10 plus and she’d get her choice of all the men, and you know how she is all flirty and cute,” Hoda said.

The Golden Bachelorette spoilers suggest that it is “unconfirmed” as to who the female lead is. Rumors have been swirling that it’s a celebrity such as Martha Stewart or Susan Lucci. Other fans would love to see Leslie Fhima or Joan Vassos from The Golden Bachelor.

Golden Bachelorette Spoilers – Kathie Lee Gifford’s Love Life Revealed

Hoda Kotb might need an update on her friend’s love life. Kathie Lee Gifford has been quietly dating her boyfriend Richard Spitz for over two years. Back in December 2023, the couple attended a holiday party.

However, an insider close to the television star thinks her relationship is “one-sided.” Even her kids Cody and Cassidy don’t like him.

“They have a routine — she buys and delivers to him, lunch and dinner, they go to their favorite gym which she pays for, and he will visit at night but will never stay over,” the source told The U.S. Sun. “Her children and close friends and family are heartbroken that she continues this toxic relationship with this man who they say treats her horribly.”
