And though the musician likes the “competitive aspect” of the blind auditions, Legend feels inspiration from working with the contestants on The Voice. “Once we get past the blinds, it’s really just all about coaching these artists, helping them put together great performances,” he explained. As a coach, the singer enjoys “giving them the opportunity to shine and in front of the whole country.”

And John shared that he feels “so inspired by them. It truly makes me a better artist.” Legend started on The Voice as an adviser for then-coach Adam Levine in Season 10. However, in season 16, John joined as a coach. And he won with contestant Maelyn Jarmon.

Gwen Stefani – Appreciates The ‘Fun’ On The Voice

And coaching on The Voice also makes Gwen Stefani feel inspired. “I mean, it really does inspire you to be in that kind of role to be able to help somebody,” she said. “It might sound like I’m just saying that for TV,” she admitted. “But I really swear, you really do have an impact and you get to know them for a really short amount of time.”

And Gwen also appreciates the fact that coaching on The Voice feels like “fun.” But she turned serious in sharing, “It’s inspiring to watch such talent and it makes you humble. You’re like, ‘God, how did I ever make it?’ These people are so gifted and I’m so blessed that I got to do music for my career.”

Stefani will appear for her seventh season on The Voice this year. She also participated in seasons seven, nine, 12, 17, 19 and 22. And Gwen  won season 19 with contestant Carter Rubin. Stefani’s history with The Voice includes serving as a battle adviser for her husband Blake Shelton.

Reba McEntire – Preps For Her First Reality Competition Show

But as the new coach on The Voice, Reba McEntire doesn’t know quite what to expect. And this season also marks Reba’s first reality competition show. However, she expressed appreciation to the other coaches for “teaching me, guiding me. I couldn’t do it without them.”

And McEntire shared that thus far, her experience feels “amazing.” But she admitted that she experienced some surprises. For instance, Reba recalled hearing a voice in the blind auditions that impressed her. “And you’re thinking, ‘Wow, that girl can sing!’ And you turn around and it’s a guy with a very high voice,” she shared.

But Reba also feels that “anybody could win. Because there’s so much talent.” And she added that it takes work to succeed. “A lot of people have talent,” said the country music singer. “But do they want to do what we’ve had to do for so many years to get where we are? It’s that try that sometimes outdoes the talent.”

Niall Horan – Hopes To Win Again

And after winning The Voice season 23 with his artist Gina Miles, Niall Horan hopes for a repeat. But Stefani confessed that the fans who shriek over Niall have stunned her. And she admitted, “I mean, Niall (Horan) walks out and girls are just, like, screaming. It’s freaky!”

However, Legend pointed out that the other coaches face challenges when Horan’s fans become contestants on the show. And that makes it challenging to persuade those fans to join other coaches’ teams. “We have to deal with, like, some serious fandom,” he admitted.
