Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Try To Delay Prison: Kids Support!
Todd and Julie Chrisley made a last effort to delay their date to report to prison. And though their kids’ support helped the Chrisley Knows Best stars emotionally, the attempt failed. As a result, Todd and Julie must surrender to their respective new homes behind bars in just a few days, noted the Daily Mail.
But the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch and matriarch also tried to get a motion passed for bail pending appeal. However, that plea failed as well. As a result, three of the Chrisley kids (Chase, Savannah and Lindsie) looked glum as they left the courthouse in Atlanta. Authorities denied Todd and Julie their attempts to avoid prison in order to appeal.
And documents from the court case also showed that the Chrisley Knows Best stars did not achieve their goals of extending their prison surrender date by 21 days. As a result, they must report to prison on Tuesday, January 17. And both Todd and Julie will begin their combined 19-year prison sentence for tax evasion and fraud.
Todd Chrisley – Hides As Wife Julie Drives Home After Court
However, the denials seemed to hit Todd the hardest. And he moved to the passenger seat on the drive back home to their mansion in Tennessee. Julie drove their black Cadillac SUV as Todd seemed to try to hide his face from paparazzi.
And their oldest children supported each other after the court case. For instance, Chase Chrisley, 26, walked with his stepsister Lindsie Chrisley, 33, after the hearing. And Chase held hands with his fiancée Emmy Medders, who showed her support as well. However, Savannah Chrisley, 25, headed out solo after the court case.
But Chrisley Knows Best matriarch Julie sought to find a positive way of looking at her upcoming separation from her husband. And on a podcast, Julie shared that she recognizes her situation could be worse, noted Perez Hilton. Because she and Todd face a split, she does feel sad about her future. But she also recognizes the difference between a temporary separation and “having to say goodbye forever.” As a result, Julie feels “almost ashamed that I’m even worried.”
