Varya Malina sticks by Geoffrey Paschel, formerly on 90 Day Fiance, who is serving an 18-year sentence. He was found guilty of kidnapping and attacking his former fiancée back in 2021, and the court handed down his sentence in 2022. The former TLC star is held in a prison known for its high danger levels according to a recent update by Varya.

The Prison Facility Changed

Varya shared a video on YouTube on March 21, with serious concerns about Geoffrey’s prison conditions. She said he was moved to a “private prison,” and this move made her very unhappy. She argued that these prisons focus less on helping inmates get better, and more on cutting costs. This leads to not enough staff, bad living conditions, and plenty of violence.

TLC fans heard her say that “gang” members inside have too much power, and “violence” is out of control. She even alleges the death rate in these private prisons in Tennessee is “the highest in the state,” maybe even the whole country. More followed, and she claimed, “Often, there’s just one guard for over 500 prisoners.” She believes it’s because the private prisons are profit-driven.
