Josh Duggar spent time in solitary confinement in the Seagoville SHU for possessing a phone. Apparently, that was an illegal act and he was punished for it. Allegedly, he was caught red-handed and claimed he was using it to discuss his appeal. Of course, it’s impossible to verify the rumors which come from people with relatives in the same facility. However, it does bring to mind his appeal. Recall, ever since his conviction for CSAM-related crime, it became clear that he would appeal.
Josh Duggar – Released From Solitary Confinement
The former TLC star spent quite a long time in solitary because he broke the rules. Actually, having a phone is viewed seriously as it can be used to plan an escape. Apart from the unpleasant experience in the SHU, various privileges were taken away. Additionally, the punishment added extra time to his imprisonment, as he had good behavior days deducted. Initially, he was due to be released on August 12, 2032. however, his dare changed to Oct. 2, 2032. However, that could change as time goes time.
Josh Duggar is not the only reality TV star to go to prison. However, many people feel that he got off lightly. After all, you have people like Todd Chrisley from Chrisley Knows Best who never contributed to the abuse of little kids. However, he will get out of prison a year after Josh. Both of them have filed appeals, and USA Network fans hope Todd gets a reprieve of some sort. However, few people hope the same for the former 19 Kids and Counting star.
Josh Duggar – Appeal Seems To Take Time
The appeals process seems to take a long time. Although his attorneys filed a motion to appeal last year, nothing seems to have happened since then. But, behind the scenes, things move on slowly. For a start, it seems like a complex case to fight. In February, the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals finally met with the TLC alum’s attorneys. At the time, there was some discussion about how Josh allegedly couldn’t access his phone after he was caught by the feds.
Josh Duggar also mentioned via his attorneys that another employee might have had access to the computer to download the offending content. Anyway, this was all heard before. Still, nothing else really emerged. So, people wonder if or when anything else will happen. This week, influencer Katie Joy from Without A Crystal Ball mentioned it on her YouTube vlog.
Josh Duggar – Months To Go Yet
Although the court heard the arguments for an appeal, Josh Duggar could wait for a long time for their decision on the case. Katie noted that it takes months so he might not hear anything before July or August of this year.
When more news about the appeal arrives, we will be sure to update you.
