Hollywood news and updates tease that “Glee” stars never ceased to remember their late costar Naya Rivera two years after her tragic death. Naya Rivera started her acting career at the age of four when she portrayed the role of Hillary Winston in a 1991 sitcom titled “The Royal Family.”
She became one of the most beloved teenage girls when she joined the cast of “Glee” and played the cheerleader, Santana Lopez. Rivera was romantically linked to the “Mob City” star, Ryan Dorsey, tied a knot last 2014, and shared a son named Josey. However, the two didn’t last long and called it quits four years later.
Last July 2020, an incident involving Rivera and her son at Lake Piru in Southern California, led the mother-of-one to go missing for five days. It all started when their rented boat was not returned on time and the staff found Josey sleeping alone on board without his mother by his side. Rivera’s cause of death was accidental drowning and she was laid to rest on July 24, 2020.
Heather Morris and Other ‘Glee’ Stars pay Tribute to the Late Naya Rivera
Two years after Rivera’s death, some stars of the musical comedy series including, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale, remembered the late actress by posting pictures of the “Step Up” star on social media. Heather Morris, “Glee’s” Brittany S. Pierce, the love interest of Santana Lopez on the show, uploaded a photo of herself together with Rivera having goofy faces.
She captioned the post, “Every day my angel. I miss you every damn day.” Fans filled the comment section with comforting words, saying: “She loves you very much, Heather! She was very lucky to have such a good friend like you in her life!” One fan wrote, “Sending you so much love. We’ll never forget her.” Another one chimed in, “I miss her every day. It hurts to live in this world without Naya’s glow.”
Ryan Dorsey Remembers Naya Rivera on Mother’s Day
Last Mother’s Day, Ryan Dorsey emotionally penned a loving message for his late ex-wife, Naya Rivera. He uploaded a photo of Josey being carried by his mom, and a lot of throwback photos of Rivera spending quality time with their son. The photos include captured images of flowers in the late actress’ grave.
Dorsey captioned the post reminiscing the fun times he had with Rivera and their son. The actor admitted that he still can’t believe that the mother of his child is no longer alive. He wrote, “The harder I think about things, it’s harder to believe. Un-f**king-believable, still that this is reality.”
