Prince William might not see the throne until he’s at least his father Prince Charles’ age, but that’s not stopping him from preparing for it. Here are just a few things that William is keeping in mind, knowing that one day he will be the leader of the UK’s oldest establishment.
The Face Of The New Generation Of Royals
While Prince Charles has been quite literally waiting his entire life to become the next King of England, the spotlight has mostly been on his son Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton. The popular royals are followed everywhere they go, with the kind of pomp and circumstance that you’d expect from a young, good-looking, and exciting royal couple like them.
In fact, many even say that if it weren’t for William and Kate, the future for the royal family would end up looking pretty bleak. Prince William knows this, and that’s why he’s preparing for his future role as the King of England even though he’s got many years – and maybe even decades – ahead of him.
A Non-Scandalous Marriage
If there is one thing that Prince William and Kate Middleton have been very consistent about these last few years it’s making sure that they are scandal-free. And while there were some reports that indicated that there was trouble at home back in 2019 (with the name Rose Hanbury popping up in reports), William and Kate’s marriage has been rather trouble-free. Sure, every married couple deals with their fair share of ups and downs but if there’s any trouble in paradise, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge make sure that no one knows about it.
More Royal Engagements And Public Appearances
Even though there was a time in which Prince William and Kate Middleton were both called the most work-allergic members of the royal family, that has certainly changed. While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge still have a long way to go before they can start keeping up with the likes of Prince Charles and Princess Anne when it comes to the number of royal engagements they do each year, William and Kate are certainly getting out in public more. In fact, they’ve been working an average of three more engagements per week ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their roles as senior members of the firm.

Rising Popularity
Now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have settled into their new lives in Los Angeles, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have become the anchor of the next generation of royals. Without them, the monarchy knows there’s no future.
What’s more, William and Kate have become very popular in recent months, with their ability to connect with the citizens of the UK while also reaching out and providing a sense of calm during troubling and uncertain times. Even Prince William knows that there hasn’t been a time in recent history more than now to show everyone the kind of leadership that he can and will provide.
The Cambridge’s Family-Friendly Image
While there’s no doubt that Prince William is going to be a different kind of King when it will be his turn to take over the throne, his family is definitely helping him while on his way there. Each and every time the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge make an appearance with their three small children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, or share behind-the-scenes photos, the public can’t get enough of them.
What royal fans love more than just Prince William is Prince William, the family man. His family is what will help make him one of the best kings of the history of the British monarchy. At least, that’s what fans are hoping for and that’s what they have their fingers crossed for, too.
