Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Reportedly Calls King Charles' Family Drama “Karma”Last year, King Charles stripped his disgraced brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, of his remaining royal titles and his dukedom. Andrew also lost his longtime residence, Royal Lodge, on the Windsor estate.

Now, amid reports of fresh family tensions involving Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, Andrew is allegedly taking some satisfaction in the King’s difficulties.

According to unnamed sources, Andrew believes his brother is finally getting a taste of his own medicine.

Key Takeaways

  • The brothers remain deeply divided
  • Andrew challenged police search warrants
  • Charles reportedly refuses to fund his legal fight
  • Sources claim Andrew sees the King’s troubles as karma

King Charles Refuses to “Lift a Finger” to Help Andrew

Andrew has faced years of controversy, damaging both his reputation and his standing within the Royal Family.

In February 2026, he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations connected to his former role as a British trade envoy.

Andrew was questioned and released without charge. He has denied wrongdoing.

He subsequently challenged the legality of police search warrants used at his former Windsor residence and a property on the Sandringham estate.

On October 8, the High Court confirmed that the warrants were unlawful and had been quashed.

However, the ruling did not end the police investigation. Further legal proceedings will determine whether investigators can retain the material seized during the searches.

Despite Andrew’s legal victory, reports suggest that King Charles is unwilling to fund his brother‘s legal battle.

An insider told Radar Online that the King was “refusing to lift a finger to help his hapless brother.”

Another source claimed that Andrew’s ongoing troubles have placed considerable pressure on Charles, who remains concerned about the monarchy’s reputation.

The King reportedly believes that offering Andrew additional financial assistance for his legal defense could generate further controversy.

Andrew Reportedly Sees His Brother’s Troubles as Karma

Andrew is said to feel deeply wronged by Charles’ treatment of him, particularly after losing his royal status and longtime home.

Now, reports of tensions involving Charles Spencer have allegedly given Andrew a reason to feel vindicated.

According to a source quoted by the National Examiner, Andrew is pleased to see his brother facing criticism.

“Andrew loves that the king is being exposed for how callous he is,” the source alleged.

“He feels this is his brother’s karma for treating him so poorly.”

Of course, these claims come from unnamed sources, and Andrew has not publicly confirmed that he feels this way.

Still, the reported comments suggest that the relationship between the brothers remains deeply strained.

Charles has the responsibility of protecting the monarchy, while Andrew appears to be dealing with the consequences of his fall from royal favor.

Whether the brothers will ever repair their relationship remains uncertain.

Annemarie’s Take

I find it rather ironic that Andrew is reportedly celebrating his brother’s difficulties when he has so many problems of his own.

Charles has faced some extremely difficult decisions regarding Andrew, and I don’t think anyone expected the situation to be handled without family resentment.

But if Andrew really believes the King’s troubles amount to karma, perhaps he should consider how his own actions contributed to the family’s problems.

I also think Charles is caught between protecting his brother and protecting the monarchy. Those two priorities clearly haven’t been easy to reconcile.

Do you think King Charles has been too harsh on Andrew, or is Andrew wrong to blame his brother for his downfall?
