Prince Andrew is reportedly still staying put in Balmoral Castle to avoid being officially informed of the ongoing court case. His daughter Princess Beatrice gave birth to her first child in a London Hospital on Saturday night, but the disgraced Duke did not leave the walls of the Aberdeenshire estate to visit his latest grandchild at the hospital.

The group called Republic is urging Britons to take a definite stance against the British Monarchy before Prince Charles will succeed his mother Queen Elizabeth on the throne.

A billboard launched by the movement reads “NO one should be above the law”.

British outlets reported that the group has launched a nationwide campaign and released billboards across the U.K., with slogans that question the sensibility of the British Monarchy.

Dealing With A Lawsuit

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew is currently facing a sexual assault lawsuit filed in the United States by Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s lawyers. Giuffre is one of the victims of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and according to the civil lawsuit, Giuffre was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew on three different occasions.

In a filing with the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Virginia Giuffre’s legal team said they sent the civil lawsuit to the Duke’s celebrity and Los Angeles-based lawyer Andrew Brettler by email and FedEx. Both copies are said to have been received on Monday morning.

Despite Prince Andrew’s obstinacy in maintaining a low profile, the judge presiding over the case, Lewis Kaplan, made it clear that he’d have to face the court soon. Andrew has been served with a number of valid options, which makes his continued hiding in Balmoral Castle futile. It also means that if Andrew persists in ignoring the suit, he could face a default judgment within 21 days.

For more than a year, Andrew has largely stayed out of the public eye and was stripped of his royal duties following Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking charges and arrest.
