Some called the tactic a delay mechanism and that it appeared the team was trying to overturn the decision on a legal technicality.

Virginia Roberts filed a civil suit against Andrew in New York days ago. Yesterday his lawyers sought to, “argue over the definition of a ‘judicial officer’, in a possible indication of how he plans to concede no ground in the civil case against him,” according to the Daily Mail.

Roberts lawyers responded by saying Andrew is playing a, “game of hide and seek behind palace walls.”

Roberts claims that Andrew had sex with her on three occasions when she was underage. Her court documents claim that, “she was trafficked to the duke by billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and is claiming damages for rape, sexual assault and battery.”

Andrew has been photographed at Balmoral with his mother Queen Elizabeth and has repeatedly denied the allegations against him. According to his legal team, Roberts’ attorneys do not have the authority to approach the High Court, which they did and which resulted in the High Court agreeing to serve court documents on Andrew who has thus far managed to elude servers.

Andrew’s side claims that Roberts’ US lawyer, David Boies, is not a, “judicial, consular or diplomatic officer,” of the US. The London court first agreed with this statement then reversed itself. After the reversal Andrew’s representative wrote to the High Court, “We contend that your original decision of 14 September 2021 to reject BSF’s direct request was correct, and your subsequent decision of 15 September 2021 is wrong.”

“We ask that the original decision be restored, and the reasons communicated promptly to BSF.”

Will Andrew Appear in Court?

The paperwork in question was previously left with guards at Andrew’s Windsor home and emailed to his lawyers. He alleges that because he did not personally accept the paperwork, the receipt was not valid.
