Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Sparring With Their Neighbors?

It seems as though a week doesn’t go by that someone has something to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the way that they are running their lives behind the scenes. This time around there’s a report that suggests the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have given their neighbors around Frogmore Cottage strict instructions to never speak to them whenever they are out or about or to even call out to their family dog whenever they see him out on a walk. Here’s what you need to know.

Neighborhood Rules

According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have issued neighbors with a list banning them from doing several things, including requesting to see Baby Archie or even talking to them. Some of the rules apparently include:

· Don’t approach or instigate conversation if you see the Royal couple

· Do say ‘Good Morning’ or some other pleasantry if they speak to you

· Don’t pet or stroke their dogs, even if they come over to you

· Don’t offer to walk their dogs

· Don’t ask to see baby Archie or offer to babysit

· Don’t post anything through the letterbox of Frogmore Cottage

Unfortunately, a lot of neighbors think that this would be funny if it weren’t so over the top. One local told the publication this past week, “It’s extraordinary. We’ve never heard anything like it. Everyone who lives on the estate works for the royals and knows how to behave respectfully. We aren’t told how to behave around the Queen like this. She’s very happy for people to greet her.”

Overly Protective Palace Official

Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had no idea that their neighbors were even given this list to begin with. Buckingham Palace insists that an “overly protective palace official” might have distributed the list of rules without Harry and Meghan’s knowledge.

With that said, the Sussexes have made it pretty clear that they want their son Archie Harrison to live a life that is as private as possible. However, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the controversial rules.
