British Royal News suggests Meghan Markle might not be winning herself any fans or friends in her upscale neighborhood. Well, maybe. That’s because there’s a new report that suggests some of her neighbors are calling her the “Duchess of Montecito” for some of her over the top antics. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Closer magazine, Meghan likes to enjoy the perks that some with her title – whichever one that might be. One source close to the situation said, “If she’s going into Beverly Hills or West Hollywood for lunch or dinner, she’ll generally call ahead and request a table that is completely secluded.”

And while there might have been a time in which Meghan enjoyed more simple things in life like sushi joints in Downtown Los Angeles or authentic Mexican cuisine, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

The tipster added, “But, generally speaking, these days she likes higher-end hangouts like Cecconi’s, Sunset Tower, Sugarfish or Lucky’s steakhouse in Montecito, which was recommended to [Markle and Prince Harry] by Oprah [Winfrey]. It’s become their favorite, and they’re waited on hand and foot.”

Meghan Markle Is Hanging Out With Oprah

What’s more, it seems like Meghan is spending more time at Oprah’s house than anywhere else. In fact, they seem to be strategizing about her future while there. “She spends a fair amount of time at Oprah’s palatial house, where they’ll kick back with her closest friend, Gayle King, and talk about everything from Meghan’s future plans to what’s going on back in the UK and how Harry’s coping with everything,” the source alleged.

That, and she’s also spending some much-needed solo time. “Meghan loves driving around LA to go to the same hiking trails that she used to visit back in the day, well off the beaten track,” the source claimed. “Often she’ll head off just herself and the dogs, which gives her time to reflect.”
