British Royal News: Prince Harry Wanted Kate Middleton To Be Friendlier To Meghan Markle

British Royal News says that Prince Harry suggested to Kate Middleton that she try to be a little more friendlier to Meghan Markle. This was back in 2018, when there was supposedly a lot of tension between the Cambridges and Sussexes at the time. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Tom Bower’s new book, Revenge, Harry approached his sister-in-law right before he and Meghan Markle jetted off to Australia and New Zealand for their tour in 2018. He told Kate that she should try to be “friendlier” to his wife.

“Members of their family, said Harry, were not showing her (Meghan) sufficient support, respect, or friendship,” Bower wrote in his book. “Meghan, Harry believed, should be just as appreciated as their mother (Princess Diana).”

What’s more, Bower said that Prince William’s reaction to his brother’s demand was something he didn’t expect. “William’s reply was not sympathetic,” he wrote in his book. For a lot of royal fans who have been following his royal feud with Harry, that statement shouldn’t be surprising at all.

While no one knows exactly what might have happened between the Sussexes and the Cambridges behind the scenes, both Harry and Meghan hinted that life at the palace was less than ideal during their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey back in 2021. The royal couple suggested that there was a racist behind closed doors while Harry said that his father Prince Charles had cut him off both emotionally and financially after the Sussexes decided to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family.

If that weren’t enough, Harry and Meghan were given the royal shoulder by William and Kate when they arrived at St. Paul’s Cathedral for Queen Elizabeth’s Thanksgiving service during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations back in June.

Clearly, Harry’s request to have others act a little friendlier towards his wife fell on deaf ears. Instead, the exact opposite had happened. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
