Being the Queen of England takes a little more than just shining that crown that’s on top of your head. Camilla Parker Bowles has been the queen for almost a year now, but it seems like a lot of critics just aren’t feeling her in her new role.

In fact, some people believe that she just doesn’t have the charisma to be the queen as she is having a hard time following in the footsteps of her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth. Here’s what you need to know.

King Charles made it pretty clear that he wanted the love of his life, Camilla, to be known as the Queen of England and not just the Queen Consort. And that’s exactly what he did, much to the surprise of many royal critics across the UK. But exactly how Camilla feels in her role is what everyone wants to know.

That’s because she looks like she’s anything but comfortable being the queen. Oftentimes she looks nervous or like she wants to be anywhere but at her royal engagements and public appearances.

She might say that she’s happy to meet and greet the citizens of the UK, but her body language often tells a totally different story.

While both King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have been on several engagements thus far, they haven’t gotten the same kind of attention that Prince William and Kate Middleton have gotten with their royal work.

In fact, Camilla could open a new hospital, a new library or even meet with some of the most important dignitaries in the world and no one would really know.

That’s because no one has really been paying attention to her as much as they’ve been paying attention to the Prince and Princess of Wales or even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at this point.

What’s Next For Camilla Parker Bowles?

So, does this mean that Camilla is the most boring queen in the history of the monarchy? Or do people simply don’t care to see her in the role?

Either way, it’s safe to say that Camilla isn’t attracting the same kind of love that Queen Elizabeth did before her. And it seems like neither she nor her husband King Charles really care, either.
