Right after it was claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to star in a reality show, the claim was shot down by their spokesperson. But is this a case of plausible deniability? Given all that we know about and have seen from Harry and Meghan, who would you believe in a war of words?
Hours ago a source told The Sun, “They may have had all these lofty ideas about producing epics highlighting environmental causes and the poverty gap, but Netflix obviously wants their pound of flesh.”
This is exactly what commentators have been saying about the merger of Harry and Meghan and Netflix since the deal was signed: that family entertainment and Netflix are not exactly synonymous.
The source added, “It will all be very tasteful, and not Katie Price and Peter Andre-style reality TV, but they want to give people a glimpse into their lives and see all the charity work they do.”
Doesn’t this sound exactly like something Harry and Meghan would be keen to do and think the world would actually watch?
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Deny They Are Doing A Reality Show
According to the source, the series would focus on their philanthropic work, which would be as titillating as watching paint dry. They added, “It will still be a fascinating insight and Meghan hopes viewers will get to see the real her.” Bingo!
Now a spokesperson for the couple claims there is no such thing afoot, they are, “not taking part in any reality shows.”
Which is a rather weak rebuttal isn’t it? For example, define “reality show.” It’s entirely possible that Meghan are planning the described show but of course, they would not stoop to call it reality tv. That’s for the bougie peeps, not them.
Are Harry And Meghan Starring In A Netflix Reality Series?
The truth is that the pair signed a mega-million dollar Netflix deal to make TV series and films. Does anyone really think the focus would not be on them?
As to the claim of a reality show, royal watcher Ingrid Seward said such a thing would be, “hypocritical” if they did a reality series after dumping the UK for the US for more privacy. And we all know that the word hypocritical isn’t in their dictionary, right?
Netflix has said the pair have several projects in development but declined to offer more information.

This is what a Netflix spokesperson had to say: “The couple already has several projects in development, including an innovative nature docu-series and an animated series that celebrates inspiring women but we are not disclosing any of the programming slate at this time.”
