Vanity Fair Dives Deep Into Prince Harry’s “American Hustle” Five Years After Their Royal Family Exit

In the piece penned by Vanity Fair’s own Anna Peele, the investigative journalist called out several elements of the Sussexes’ life, from the kind of workspace environment they create for their staff to Prince Harry not getting the “gravity” of his decision to write and publish ‘Spare.’

According to an insider speaking to Vanity Fair, Harry is yet to fully absorb “the gravity of what it would mean to sell millions of copies of a tell-all book about a famously insular and circumspect family in the middle of a years-long public relations crisis.”

Of course, all this culminated with the couple’s latest stunt tour that saw them visit the site of the damage caused by the Palisades Fire. This was received in bad taste by many, with actress Justine Bateman calling them “ambulance chasers” and “disaster tourists.”

Five years after their exit from the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ensconced in a cozy Montecito mansion and creating an array of charitable endeavors and media ventures. But their foray into moguldom hasn’t always been a smooth ride.

One of the Sussexes’ most outspoken critics, Dan Wootton, jumped on the Vanity Fair report, commenting, “Wow! My jaw is on the floor. Yes I’ve been reporting all this stuff on Outspoken for MONTHS, but to read Vanity Fair turning on Harry and Meghan in quite this spectacular manner is still something. Finally the MSM report the “Duchess” is even lining up a post-divorce book deal!”

Another fan commented on the Vanity Fair piece, writing, “The tide has turned! But please let’s not forget the role @VanityFair has played spinning this couple for 5 years. My admiration is reserved for all those calling them out from the beginning, at great personal cost.”
