Brexit? What Bexit? It appears as though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s little baby Archie Harrison is actually good news for the British economy. As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that suggests the little tot might have a big effect on the fashion economy the same way his mother has in the last several months. Here’s what you need to know.
Kid Influencer
It doesn’t matter what Meghan Markle wears – whether it’s a recycled dress, her favorite pair of skinny jeans or a pair of Birdies on her feet – her fans want to copy each and every look she wears in public. And it looks like her little son Archie Harrison will turn out to be the same style influencer that she is.
Even though he doesn’t even know how to walk or talk yet, many royal experts believe that Archie Harrison is going to be an even bigger “kid influencer” than his royal cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. That’s because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done a very good job of curating their family ‘brand’ so to speak. They only give their royal fans a hint of what their private lives look like but it’s enough for many social media followers to want to follow all of their fashionable steps.
According to Vox, Joshua Bamfield, who is the director of the Center for Retail Research, believes that Archie is going to help boost the sales of baby clothes and gear associated with the young royal to a whopping 1.25 billion pounds during the next two years. Because if it’s good enough for Archie, it’s good enough for the rest of the tots out there, right?
The Archie Effect
“Meghan is known to have a keen sense of style and she will want to follow a distinctive line in baby products, shawls, baskets, infant clothes, and even what toys are being used by her child,” Bamfield told Hello Magazine in an interview.
In other words, Kate Middleton might want to make some room. That’s because her nephew is about to show the world what the “Archie Harrison Effect” really looks like.
