British royal family news divulges that there are fresh alarms in the nation following news that Queen Elizabeth is unable to travel to London to install Boris Johnson’s successor as Prime Minister at Buckingham Palace. The event will take place next Tuesday but today royal officials confirmed that the politicians will meet with the 96-year old monarch at Balmoral where she is currently staying.
Royal Family News – Is The Queen Infirm?
According to palace aides the monarch will receive Johnson and either Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak at her Scottish estate where she is on her annual summer break.
In the past the Queen has held such meetings at Buckingham Palace. On September 6 history will be made, as it is the, “first time that a prime minister has officially resigned or been appointed away from Buckingham Palace during the 70-year reign of Her Majesty, who has faced ongoing mobility issues.”
According to the Daily Mail, “The decision to hold the meeting in Scotland rather than in London or at Windsor Castle is said to have been taken now to provide certainty for Mr Johnson’s diary. Royal aides want to avoid having to make any last-minute alternative arrangements if the Queen were to be suffering from mobility issues on the day next week.”
Royal Family News – The Queen Will Not Travel
Peter Hunt, an ex-BBC royal correspondent said of this mater, “The fact officials can’t be sure the Queen will be well enough to travel next week is yet another reminder of her advanced age and increasing frailty.”
“Despite this, the Queen remains determined to carry out her core duties. Appointing a new prime minister is not something that can easily be passed to Prince Charles, a king-in-waiting.”
The Queen and her family have summered at her Highlands estate for decades. Already Prince William and Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, have seen her there in August.

Royal Family News – Will The Queen Leave Balmoral?
Other visitors so far this summer include her youngest son and his wife, Edward and Sophie the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and their children Lady Louise and Viscount James. Perhaps most significantly, her heir Prince Charles is said to see her daily. Additionally, her rumored favorite son, disgraced Prince Andrew, has been to Balmoral as well. The Queen was last seen in public on July 21, at which time she was flown to Aberdeen Airport for her summer Scottish ritual.
