However, a lot of people can’t understand why the former business woman looked so happy to be there even though her daughter Kate Middleton pulled out from appearing at the event earlier in the day.

This has prompted a lot of people to wonder: is Carole Middleton playing the deflection game? Is she trying to reassure everyone that the future queen of England is actually okay and that there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to both her mental and physical health?

That’s what royal fans on both sides of the pond would certainly like to know. Why is Kate Middleton suddenly hiding and why is her mother now in the spotlight again?

In fact, many people were actually surprised that Carole Middleton was even at Ascot to begin with.

Even though the Middletons are also very high-profiled people in the public eye, both Carole and her husband have kept out of the spotlight during their daughter Kate Middleotn’s cancer battle.

And now that there’s speculation suggesting something might be going on with Kate’s health again behind closed doors, many critics just can’t help but comment on how odd it looks for Carole to be all smiles while her daughter might be dealing with some sort of break down, either mentally or physically.

Either way, this isn’t the first time that the Middleton family has raised some eyebrows. As much as Carole might want to get back into the public eye, even royal critics think it’s best for her to go back home to the Middleton Manor and help her daughter sort out whatever issues she may have.
