The Duke of Sussex is supposed to be in London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, but there’s now speculation suggesting that he might phone it in.

As many royal fans are aware of, Prince Harry has long been battling with the UK government about his lack of security in his home country.

His security rights were stripped away from him the moment he and Meghan Markle decided to step down from their positions as full-time working royals.

Harry maintains that he’s still a very public figure and still needs to be protected regardless if he’s working with the royal family or not. And that might be one of the reasons why he would rather not go to London next month.

What’s Next For The Duke of Sussex?

It goes without saying that many royal fans and critics sure did have a lot to say about the matter.

Many took to social media to weigh in on the matter with, “Harry probably won’t be attending. If he does anything he might do a zoom greeting for those in attendance. HM are taking control of their own lives, those rags do not own them,” along with, “Very hopeful Harry’s message to these Veterans is through zoom as well. Or if Harry does indeed come he will be in stealth mode.”

Another critic wrote, “The refusal to allow Harry suitable protection is the very best reason for him to skip the IG church service. It’s all click bait anyway for an industry that relishes abusing the Sussexes. Hopefully Harry will make a zoom appearance and starve the media of photos and interviews.”

And then there was this comment as well: “The fact that every little detail about this service has already been leaked and published for everyone to scrutinize makes it a security nightmare and it truly feels like they want something to happen to Prince Harry. I am keeping my fingers crossed.”

So far the Duke of Sussex himself has not made any comments about the matter.
