She doesn’t want to see him doing anything that he might regret later on and that’s why Camilla is discouraging Charles from taking on any more royal engagements or doing any more public appearances than he has to.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “She has been trying to encourage him to slow down. Of course, he wants to keep cracking on, but she is afraid that doing too much could set him back. There is no sign of him easing off the accelerator. If anything, he is even more determined to pack as much in as he can.”

The tipster even added, “Of course he should slow down but, as anyone who knows him will tell you, he is not going to.

He spent 70 years as the first in line to the throne, and he is determined to do the job as best he can for whatever time remains to him.”

So far King Charles himself has not made any comments about the matter, but if Queen Camilla has it her way, then she will make sure of it that her husband takes it easy and remains away from the public eye for as much as possible.

Now, whether or not King Charles will actually listen to his wife’s good advice remains to be seen as well. That said, it’s clear that it’s Queen Camilla who is really in charge of things behind closed doors at the palace.
