Royal Family News: Kate Middleton’s ‘Common’ Impact On The Monarchy Saved It?

Kate MiddletonBritish royal family news shows that as Kate Middleton approaches her 40th birthday on January 9, 2022, it is fitting to take a look back at the influence she has had on the controversial monarchy. If not for Kate, would it be hard to find a bright spot amid the doom and gloom engulfing it as a New Year begins?

Kate has been a shining star in a firmament spoiled by disgraced Prince Andrew’s sex assault scandal and bratty Prince Harry’s unrelenting tirades against the family he claims failed him.

Who exactly is Kate, a veritable English rose among the monarchy’s thornier limbs and branches?

Kate Middleton Is An English Rose

Kate is what’s known still in the UK as a “commoner.” Meaning she was not born a royal, and truthfully that may have been her saving grace. Kate comes from a non-aristocratic background and some pundits took to calling her family the “Middle Class Middletons.” That’s what happens when a country still has a caste system disguised as a monarchy.

She and Prince William have been married for ten years and they have three beautiful children. These days she is seen regularly doing school pickups and grocery shopping. The fact that she continues to live a humble, dare we say it middle class lifestyle, has endeared her to royal fans.

Over time she has ranked among the most popular of the royals in polls and there is not much dirt if any to talk about. Together she and William have launched various helpful enterprises including Heads Together, a initiative that addresses mental health issues.

She has also given input on the Earthshot Prize, which gives rewards to individuals and groups looking to tackle climate change.

Additionally she has spearheaded her own projects including the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, which address the developmental importance of a child’s early years. Last May she released the book Hold Still, which is a collection of pandemic-era pictures shot by UK citizens.

Kate Middleton Is A Force To Be Reckoned With

Rebecca Priestley is Kate Middleton’s former private secretary and she told The Daily Mail of Kate’s ambitious projects, “These were lifelong decisions she was taking. She wanted to have credibility when she spoke.”

On January 9, Kate turns 40. When William becomes king she will be the nation’s queen consort and her impact on the monarchy is already being felt.

Prince William said in a speech on World Mental Health Day, “It was Catherine who first realized that … addiction and family breakdown, unresolved childhood mental health issues were often part of the problem.” Happy 40th birthday Kate!
