Prince William and Kate Middleton recently agreed to let their oldest son, Prince George, attend a sports match in France.

But what the royal couple never anticipated? Seeing their 10-year-old son go viral due to his passion for devouring a certain food!

The viral moment came when observers noted Prince George gobbling up pizza at the rugby match. And his mother Princess Kate shared her views on that sight via Pure Wow. The pizza feast took place when George watched a 2023 Rugby World Cup match in France.

And Kate even admitted that her son didn’t hesitate to enjoy his treat. Chatting with the Chairman of World Ruby Sir Bill Beaumont, George’s 41-year-old royal mother confessed, “He took full advantage” about finding pizza available. And Beaumont joked that George “tucked into the pizza all right.”

However, Prince George might have learned to love pizza from a member of his own family. And amid her pregnancy, Princess Kate longed for pizza. She loaded up on that treat throughout her pregnancy with her daughter Princess Charlotte, now age 8.

And Kate also has shared that the entire family enjoys homemade pizza. “I think they’re some of the best things to make, pizzas at home,” she revealed. “It’s such fun, you can choose what you can put on them—all the different toppings.”

However, Princess Kate feels especially fond of one particular topping. And she shared that she enjoys adding bacon to her pizza. “Or some other meat. It’s like having pepperoni,” Kate explained. “But it’s not as spicy.”

However, amid her second pregnancy, Princess Kate enjoyed various pizza pies when she stayed in a suite at the Carlyle hotel in New York City. And an insider told Us that prior to the St. Andrews 600th Anniversary dinner at the Met Museum, Kate requested “three very specific pizzas” from NYC eatery Serafina.

But Kate did share her request for “a spicy sausage pizza (with no mushroom) and a prosciutto di Fabio pizza (with no sliced tomatoes).” And the pregnant princess doled out the treats to a Kensington Palace assistant, her private secretary Rebecca Deacon and hairstylist Amanda Cook-Tucker amid prepping for the Met Museum event. 

But Prince William shares his wife’s passion for pizza. And he asked for “two Pizza Express pizzas” sent to their room at the Lindo Wing at London’s St Mary’s hospital when Kate welcomed her first child Prince George into the world. “They both really love their pizza,” summed up the source.
