Royal family news and updates reveal the results of a new poll. And that poll shows how the public feels about royals ranging from Princess Anne to Princess Kate to Meghan Markle to Prince Harry.
Find out which royal family member outdid Kate Middleton in popularity. And discover how the UK feels about the monarchy. Get all the details below.
Kate Middleton – Gets Edged Out In Popularity Poll
A new poll revealed the popularity of various royal family members. And it showed that Kate Middleton, 41, fell below a very special royal: Her hubby Prince William.
The new survey from a British polling company revealed that William, 41, overcame Kate in popularity, according to People.
The company released the new poll just prior to the one-year anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth.
And it showed that 61% of Britons favor the monarchy.
That figure has fallen slightly from the boost that occurred after news spread of Elizabeth’s death at 96 after serving for 70 years on the throne.
But in terms of individual royals, William enjoys a popularity ranking of 74%. And Kate received a 72%.
However, the sister of King Charles, Princess Anne, ranked at 73 percent. And King Charles received a 60 percent favorable rating after taking over the throne in the wake of his mother’s death.

Meghan Markle – Falls In Popularity Poll
But in contrast to Prince William and Princess Kate, Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 42, did not fare well on the popularity poll.
For instance, Meghan scored at 24 percent. And Prince Harry landed at 31 percent.
However, the ranking for Prince Andrew, 63, reflected his disgraced state. And after losing his royal role in the wake of his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, only six percent viewed Andrew in a positive light.
But the poll also uncovered different views on the monarchy based on age. For instance, in the under-30 crowd, Meghan and Harry have become more popular.
And though 58% of Britons view the monarchy as good for the country, only 30% of those ages 18 to 24 agree.
However, for those older than 65, 77% think that the monarchy benefits the country. But in contrast, only 37% of 18 to 24-year-olds want Britain to remain a monarchy.
And generational gaps also exist on the royal family’s contribution to the country. About 35 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds think that the royals represent value for money.
But three-quarters of those older than 65 think the royals represent good value.
And royal family followers offered varying thoughts on the poll. For instance, one social media follower shared, “William still competing with Harry. Why is it when people begin to sway toward Harry, tabloids start flooding social media and MSM with some ‘poll.’ Interesting timing.” And others agreed. For example, another wrote, “Whenever harry does something, these polls appear from nowhere.”
