Kate Middleton Resembles Queen Elizabeth More Than Princess Diana?

Royal family members may differ from mere commoners in many ways. But they do experience one shared phenomenon: Comparisons to their relatives! 

And while regular folks might suffer comments such as, “Oh, like, Mary has a balding spot just like Uncle Harry,” royal family members tend to get contrasted with famous figures such as Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana. 

That’s what just happened to Kate Middleton. 

Does Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, resemble her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who raised Middleton’s husband Prince William until her tragic death? Or does Kate seem more like the Queen herself?

Kate Middleton More Like Princess Diana Or Queen Elizabeth?

In the years after Princess Diana died, the royal family worked together to guide her motherless sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Both boys were old enough, however, to remember their mother’s influence.

And that’s led royal family watchers to compare Harry’s and William’s wives, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, to their mother Princess Diana. Some claim they see many similarities between Diana and both women. 

But one royal expert expert disagrees. Kinsey Schofield, royal commentator and owner of “To Di For Daily,” recently revealed why she feels Kate resembles Queen Elizabeth more than Princess Diana.

“Kate is low maintenance, comes from a strong loving family, and plays by the rules,” summed up Schofield.

While Princess Diana’s family didn’t come under the microscope of this royal family expert, the “To Di For Daily” owner does clarify a few points in her comparison.

Princess Diana was known for her love of fashion, while Kate tends to choose less expensive items that regular women can afford. As for playing by the rules? Diana also seemed to dare to defy royal family expectations, while Kate tries to live up to the family’s guidelines.

But in doing the comparisons, Schofield also credited Kate for following the “to thine own self be true” philosophy of life.

As a result, the “To Di For Daily” owner pointed out Middleton’s admirable characteristics. Those qualities include her grace and her desire to keep her romance with William private.

“[The Duchess of Cambridge]  is graceful and delicate and doesn’t have a mean or vengeful bone in her body,” shared the royal family expert. “She also doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve.”

So are there any similarities between Princess Diana and Kate Middleton? 

“I sometimes see Diana when watching Kate engage with children, but I think Kate is carving out her own path,” noted Schofield.

Queen Elizabeth Becomes Role Model For Kate Middleton?

Prince William reportedly will one day become the King of England. As a result, the royal family expert thinks that his wife Kate has taken on Queen Elizabeth as her role model.

And Schofield also praised Middleton for taking time for her children while enhancing her role in the royal family.

“She is taking on a more prominent role within the Royal Family without sacrificing any time with her babies, which is a joy to see,” praised Schofield. “She is intelligent and kind and a great support system for Prince William. The Duchess will make the most exquisite and exciting consort one day.”

In looking at the current royal family members, Schofield believes the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge qualify as the strongest assets in “The Firm,” as the royal family is known.
