British Royal family news reveals Duchess Kate is proving her love and fondness for children in her latest royal outing. The royal mom of three visited London’s Natural History Museum, and we know how she loves visiting museums, to learn about their Urban Nature Project – and brought a homemade treat for school children she met.

The Duchess’ treat happened to coincide with a special interest of her younger brother James, who she is very close to. Coincidence?

Kate Middleton Reveals She Has A Personal “Beehive”

Kate Middleton visited London’s Natural History Museum this Tuesday in order to learn about their Urban Nature Project. Like the thoughtful mom that she is, she brought a special treat for the local school children she met: homemade honey from Anmer Hall, the Norfolk home where she happily spends time in the country with her husband and three children: Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.

“Would you like to try some? This came specially from my beehive,” Duchess Kate reportedly told the kids, according to people present at the time. “Does it taste like honey from the shops? Does it taste like flowers?”

Kate later sat cross-legged on the floor and joined the schoolchildren as they learned about spiders with an arts and crafts activity. Her day at the museum also included attaching an acoustic monitoring device to a cherry tree in the Wildlife Garden. The recording device will record ambient sounds and help scientists to investigate patterns of bird, mammal and insect activity in the garden.

James Middleton Shares His Love For Beekeeping

James, 34, opened up to his fans about his love for his bee farm in 2019.

“Many of you know I am passionate about dogs,” he wrote on Instagram at the time, referencing the many cute images of his dogs he bombards his followers with. “But not many know I am almost as passionate about bees.”

“I’m fascinated by the little creatures. From their waggle dance to the queen laying her own body weight in eggs a day… there’s a lot to be said about these humble little creatures,” he continued writing.

Like his dogs, keeping bees helps him to relax and clear his mind. “Bee keeping to me is a meditation. It’s a chance to escape my mind and be so consumed by something that hours can pass by without knowing it. Meditation is a wonderful tool to help with stress, anxiety, depression and doesn’t just need to be practiced sitting down!”

James clued fans in on the importance of honey to the body, calling honey “one of nature’s finest medicines. From antibacterial properties, aiding digestion, hay fever, colds, energy and even as a cure for sleeping disorders the list goes on. I have a teaspoon of honey every day and couldn’t recommend it more.”

James Middleton Credits His Family For Making His Beekeeping Dream Come True

Last year, James revealed that his beautiful hobby came to fruition due to his family members.

“I’d always harboured a longing to keep bees, but it wasn’t until I turned 24 in 2011 that the wish became reality,” he wrote in a 2020 article for the Daily Mail.

“Then, my family – mum, dad and my sisters Catherine and Pippa – clubbed together to buy what for me was the most fantastic birthday gift imaginable,” he continued. “A delivery van arrived with a large buzzing box with the cautionary label: ‘Live Bees.’ Inside was the nucleus – the start – of my colony: 1,000 Buckfast bees.”

James also recalled being thrilled about his gift, although he said the delivery man didn’t share in his joys and personally made him go into the fan to get the box out.
