Kate Middleton’s hospitalization and emergency surgery has been taking up headlines for days now, despite the fact that the Royal Family has kept mum about her diagnosis and prognosis.

Imagine being diagnosed with a deadly skin cancer, and carefully articulating the perfect way to break the news to the world.
Sarah Ferguson’s health woes would normally be front and center, and the Duchess of York is probably already in talks with local programs for cancer patients that she can shed some light on during her own treatment, and bring more public knowledge to skin cancer. But, then nobody cared because your nephew’s wife checked in to the London Clinic.
Sarah Ferguson’s Cancer Diagnosis
Per People Magazine’s official statement, “Following her diagnosis with an early form of breast cancer this summer, Sarah, Duchess of York has now been diagnosed with malignant melanoma.
The Duchess wants to thank the entire medical team which has supported her, particularly her dermatologist whose vigilance ensured the illness was detected when it was.
She believes her experience underlines the importance of checking the size, shape, color and texture and emergence of new moles that can be a sign of melanoma.”
Sarah Ferguson’s cancer diagnosis could raise some serious awareness and make an amazing platform for the Duchess to bring attention to melanoma and breast cancer.
Kate Middleton’s Surgery Takes Center Stage
Unfortunately, Fergie isn’t getting the coverage she would normally get because of Kate Middleton and King Charles’ wild weeks at the hospital.
It’s ironic that we can tell you all about Prince Andrews’ wife’s breast cancer and skin moles, but still have no idea why Kate Middleton even needed surgery.

Seriously? Kate stole Fergie’s cancer thunder! Having cancer is not “thunder” it’s hell! I have been there. I am now cancer free but I would have given anything so that my family and myself didn’t have to go through the crap that they did! I can’t believe whoever wrote this worded the story this wam! My prayers are with Sarah and her family as well as Kate’s and hers.
As usual, Sarah Ferguson has to be front and center, even with an unfortunate cancer diagnosis. If Princess Catherine did not have scheduled obligations, we would not know she was in the hospital. Please everyone leave her alone and give her the privacy she deserves. Sarah Ferguson’s cancer scare both times was caught very early and she was lucky. S Sarah and Andrew should just stay away from the media.
