The Duchess of Cambridge has sought to quietly work behind the scenes to prep for her future role as Queen next to Prince William. Kate’s efforts underlie the concern about Queen Elizabeth’s failing health. And with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down as working members of the royal family, more of the burdens fall on Kate’s slender shoulders.

But through it all, Kate flourishes, an insider shared. The mom of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis loves her life. Whether relaxing with family at the Cambridge clan’s country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk or walking the red carpet with her husband Prince William, Middleton “has really come into her own,” summed up the source.
